This year’s tournament comes amid the emergence of the Breakaway LIV Tour, which saw several players who would have struggled to enter that weekend have been banned from this PGA event due to their involvement in Greg Norman’s start-up.

The international squad (consisting of players from the rest of the world outside of Europe and the US) is missing Open champion Cameron Smith, Chilean star Joaquin Niemann and Mexican Abraham Ancer. The plethora of options available to US captain Davis Love III means his absence will be less felt, but the team will still be without big stars Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau.

The USA team consists of seven players who helped them to a record Ryder Cup win against Europe last year, including Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay and Collin Morikawa. Meanwhile, on the international side, there’s Hideki Matsuyama, Adam Scott and Sungjae Im. Follow our guide as we explain how to watch a live stream of the Presidents Cup online now so you don’t miss a moment of this prestigious golf tournament.
